Bob Harris
Bob Harris is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of ZINK Imaging Manufacturing. Bob joined ZINK Imaging after the acquisition of the Konica Minolta manufacturing facility in North Carolina in July 2007. Bob launched his career with an extensive contribution to the United States armed forces. After graduation in 1967, he was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in Armor in the United States Army. Over the next five years, he had various armor assignments in the U.S., Germany and Vietnam. During his two tours in Vietnam, he was awarded the Silver Star, Three Bronze Stars, two Air Medals, and two Purple Hearts. After completing his graduate studies in Chemistry, Bob transitioned to a new career as an Assistant Professor at West Point from 1974 through 1978.
After resigning from the Army in July 1978, Bob joined Polaroid Corporation and over the next twelve years, he had various assignments in Manufacturing, Applied Research and Marketing. This included four years as Vice President, Operations of Polaroid Graphics Imaging, a graphic arts subsidiary.
Bob joined Konica Minolta Manufacturing U.S.A., Inc. (KMMU) in January 1991 as the senior American executive. At KMMU, he initially managed the Production and Engineering Departments and then served as President and COO from May 1993 to July 2007.
Bob holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering the United States Military Academy at West Point, as well as a Masters Degree in Physical Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology. He also earned his MBA from Boston University in 1984.
