About ZINK Imaging
ZINK Imaging, Inc., a privately held company, was founded to enable millions of customers to enjoy the magic of ZINK™ Zero Ink™ products. A new and simpler approach to printing, ZINK™ Technology shifts the printing paradigm from an ink cartridge or ink ribbon to a totally ink-free system. ZINK™ Technology is protected by an IP portfolio that includes over 100 patents and patents pending.
In October of 2005, current ZINK Imaging management, in conjunction with private investors, purchased the ZINK™ Technology and related physical assets and hired the innovation team that now make-up ZINK Imaging. In July of 2007, ZINK Imaging purchased a manufacturing facility from Konica Minolta, adding the facility's team to the ZINK family.
ZINK Imaging is the inventor of the ZINK™ Technology and the manufacturer of ZINK™ Paper. ZINK Imaging's world class innovation team is relentlessly pursuing inventions and partnerships to disrupt the world of digital photo printing through the magic of the ZINK™ Technology system. ZINK Imaging will be an OEM supplier of ZINK™ Paper to a Partner network of worldwide development and go-to-market companies, leaders in their respective fields, which will bring ZINK™ Enabled products to market. The ZINK brand will be promoted and recognized as a "magical" brand, experience, and printing platform.
ZINK Imaging's research and development labs and headquarters are in Massachusetts, with a state of the art development and manufacturing facility in Whitsett, North Carolina.
